Minecraft Club is on hiatus until further notice.

Tuesdays, February 2nd, March 1st, and April 5th: Electronic Tax Returns, 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:00 pm. Volunteers from the IRS will be on hand at the library to help you file your tax returns electronically for FREE! E-filing is safer, easier, and more accurate than filing on paper. Attend one of these sessions to learn how to do it yourself! Appointments are preferred, so contact the library at or (518) 295-7127 to reserve a spot!

Monday, February 1st: VNA Homecare Options, 1:30-2:30 pm. Ms Nicole Popplewell will discuss the options available to those who are eligible for a nursing-home level of care, but would prefer not to leave their homes. Attend this presentation to learn more about home and community-based care!

Saturday, February 13th: Centennial Tea, 12:00-2:00 pm. We’re celebrating 1916, the year our library was founded. Come enjoy tea, snacks, and music popular during the period, and make a few old-fashioned Valentines while you’re at it! Feel free to dress up, bring a tea cup, and/or bring a baked good to share! All ages are welcome!

Thursday, February 18th: Betty Fikes Pillsbury, 7:00 pm. Kicking off our Cool Jobs lecture series, Betty Fikes Pillsbury will talk about her career as a master herbalist and quilter. She has won over two hundred awards for her artwork and has been inducted into the Catskill Mountain Quilter's Hall of Fame.  Her book on crazy quilting will be released in August. She studied herbalism with Dr. LowDog and David Winston.  Betty makes herbal products for The Beekman Boys and for her own label, Green Spiral Herbs.

Thursday, February 25th: Invictus, 7:00 pm. In celebration of Black History Month, we’ll be showing the movie Invictus, “the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela joined forces with the captain of South Africa's rugby team to help unite their country” in the aftermath of apartheid. (IMDb) Rated PG 13. Light refreshments will be available!
